4) Fee: $10.00 per entry. Make checks payable to International Museum of Art and Science. There are no limits on the number of entries. However, only one entry per BJCP subcategory is allowed per entrant. You must fill out a registration form for each brew entered.
5) Brewers must provide Three(4), brown 10-16 oz. bottles that are free of previous labeling. Green bottles, Grolsch-style swing top bottles, or bottles with raised lettering are not allowed. Bombers (22oz or 750ml) are acceptable but 3 bottles must be submitted. Bottles that are so unique as to make identity of the entrant a possibility may be subject to disqualification and should not be submitted.
6) Each bottle must have a completely filled out bottle ID form rubber banded to the bottle. Taped or glued labels will disqualify the entry. Caps should be plain; any markings should be blacked out with a permanent marker.
7) A completely filled out competition entry form / recipe sheet must be rubber banded to one of the bottles. Any entry without a recipe is subject to disqualification. The category and sub-category of the entry must be identified or the entry will not be judged. Organizers will not classify or reclassify your entries
8) All entries submitted become property of IMAS. No part of an entry will be returned, including bottles. Empty bottles may be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis after the competition.
9) The participating commercial brewers retain the flexibility to: – change the winning recipe as necessary to accommodate their brewing equipment. – choose the winning beer based on private concerns (marketability, balance to existing beer line, ability to participate in The Battle of the Brew – Homebrew Competition, etc.)
10) Entries will be accepted no later then March 4th, 8pm by drop-off. Entries may be collected by IMAS, mailed to, or dropped off.
11)The closed judging will take place Saturday April 5th, 2013 at Roosevelt’s at 7.
An awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at The Night at the Brew-seum Event. Awards, prizes and certificates will be distributed to winners or representatives in attendance that evening. Remaining prizes and score sheets will be distributed by local pick-up or by mail as necessary.
We reserve the right to disqualify any entry for failure to comply with these rules. Disqualified entries may be evaluated but will not be eligible for awards or prizes. No entries or fees will be returned. The decision of the judges is final.
